Lord Krishna advice on How to live a life and When not to forgive a person.

By - Abhudai Pal   Happy Janamashtmi.  Every year all over the world, the Birthday of Lord Krishna is celebrated. He was born on Ashtami Tithi of Krishnapaksh in Bhadrapada month.  Pic credit to the rightful owner.   Lord Krishna's approach to Life is the most practical among the plethora of Gods in India. His philosophy of Life is not entrenched in an idealism that is often impossible to practice. That is why I call him the coolest God .  The best aspect of Krishna's teaching is non-imposing. Even after lecturing Arjun, a.k.a Updesh, Krishna does not order him to follow his advice blindly. Instead, Krishna asked him to contemplate his advice.  And if that satisfies his conscience, then he may abide by them.  Although there is a lot to learn from Lord Krishna. Here, I will reiterate a part of his Updesh and his advice on tolerance in Life.  First, Krishna says the ultimate goal of this Life is to attain Moksha, i.e., to be free from the circle of death and birth. Why to be hesitant in calling a Spade a Spade? The tale of Rohit and Chitra.

By - Abhudai Pal  So do you abuse? Asked Rohit to Chitra,  Do you mean assault? Replied Chitra Not assault, so let me be precise with my question. Do you use swear words? Asked Rohit again to Chitra, Pic credit to unsplash.com She replied, "No," with a smirk.  In a way, Chitra was right. The word abuse carries deeper meaning rather than just the use of "swear words."  With such stupid talks, the familiarity/friendship between both of them evolved.  Rohit was a person whose notion of romance was akin to the ideal love stories of the world. Rather than dreaming of one night, his ideas of romance were poetic, abstract, and hard to find. He knows that such expectations of the world are irrational.  Despite knowing everything, this was one aspect of his life in which he did not want to compromise. He wants his partner to be ideal and his love story to be as devoted, dedicated, and passionate as Heer and Ranjha, Romeo and Juliet, etc.  Slowly and steadily, like every oth

The cause of Mahabharata! Could Bhism Pitamah had subverted the War?

By - Abhudai Pal  Bloodshed! Bloodbath! Hue and Cries!  The whimpering of widows! The grave silence! Broken families and civilization decimated!  Pic credit to the rightful owner. Just imagine a scene with the above situation(s). You will shudder! And, you should cry, regret, repent, shout, and feel the agony in your arteries and veins.  What led to the birth of such a scenario?  Is it because of an individual's ill-intention?  Could this be prevented?  In my mind, plenty of questions arises regarding such dystopia.  The answer to all of my questions is just one word.   "WAR" It is the WAR that gave birth to these scenarios. Who wins in a war? I do not know! However, it is the entire humanity that loses because of a WAR.  If I had told you, the WAR I am talking about could have been prevented just because of one person. And that person stayed silent because of his commitments.  Would you revere him?  I am talking about India's most famous Epic, "THE MAHABHARATA.&

In our quest for valentine, Do we understand why valetine day is celebrated and what is love?

Image
By - Abhudai Pal    Happy Valentine's day!  Whenever it comes to wishing this day, people often see it as a strange day. Those who dislike this term it as the influence of western culture.  However, the same set of people has no problem with Father's Day, Mother's Day, New year, etc., which too are consequences of western culture.  Pic credit unsplash.com  The peak of Hypocrisy!   Since every relation has a day. So this day is reserved to celebrate/cherish your relationship with your partner. Historically, this day's meaning is also understood without proper context.  In fact, Saint Valentine spread the message of love around the world. Love for your fellow human beings. It was not mandated to limit the nature of love that couples share for one another. Its context shrinks with time, and now it is used only in that context. When it comes to love or loving your partner. Do we really comprehend what it is or how to feel it?  Is it solely because of the flow of hormones?

The essence of spirituality and its relevance in the present era.

By - Abhudai Pal   I am a spiritual , not religious person. This is the statement I often hear from educated people. However, I ask them to give up their religious practices or explain them. Then they have nothing to discuss.  Pic credit unsplash.com  So, it is vital to understand what spirituality exactly means.  For me, spirituality means seeing the exact form or nature of something, without any prejudice or bias, the true meaning. For, e.g., Why do different religions have different festivals? I believe they exist because our society has evolved over the thousand years of civilization.  And in this process of evolution, work culture developed. To get relief from work, festivals evolved. A uniform day for all where every member of society socialize, celebrate, and enjoy. Festivals certainly do not prove that one religion's festivals are superior to the other.  If you are a spiritual person, you will try to find out the purpose/meaning of something.  This concept does not require

Victoria's Love - Tale of valid expectation or insecurity! Lessons from her relationship!

Image
By - Abhudai Pal   Victoria , an undergraduate girl, had average expectations from life. She was a rationalist and meticulous in her life choices. If you meet her, you will be surprised how someone could be so sorted! Friendliness and Helping everyone in her personal capacities were qualities she was known for. Albeit, she has plans for every stage in her life. However, life has the habit of going topsy-turvy. Pic credit unsplash.com  So the calm, stable, and jolly girl life was shocked by Aman, her college friend. A few months ago, when Aman asked for Victoria's help in an assignment, even she had not thought some "help" would be emotionally taxing. Actually, after the help, romantic developments happened. Usually, Victoria used to avoid such stuff. However, hormones do exist! And with Aman, her hormones ruled over her rationality. When Aman proposed to her, she could not resist and fell for him. No one had thought that she would fall at this juncture. Even she was surpr

Nehru - The P.M. whom Indian's failed because of false and regressive narrative

By - Abhudai Pal  Disclaimer - This write-up is based on the author's imagination. Resemblance to reality is mere coincidence.  Happy Children's day! Today is the birthday of India's first Prime-minister Jawaharlal Nehru.  Many people praise Nehru. However, I have plenty of interesting facts about Mr. Nehru, which were kept "secret."  Nehru – The cause of Unemployment in India  The unemployment you are witnessing today is the result of his policy failures. He did not invest in infrastructure development. Mr. Nehru did not build dams, canals to improve irrigation, and manufacturing was not his priority. His sole priority was living a luxurious life.  However, the setting up of the Planning Commission, the building of educational Institutions like IIT's, the establishment of Public Sector Enterprise, etc., are just farces. The brain behind all these is Mr. Patel.  Nehru and Prison  Many Indians are taught that he spent a decade or so in prison. But my dear frien
