I wonder whether they were religious or spiritual?  Meditating Buddha (Pic credit - Unsplash.com) Contemplating a lot, I arrived at the conclusion that calling them religious, isn’t justified. As their wisdom is for the entire mankind, irrespective of a person’s caste, creed, color, religion, race, mother tongue, and place of birth. The wisdom, they showered, is mentioned in various religious texts, in different forms.  What has changed with wisdom is word/medium/language, in which it is explained. What remains constant is the message of love towards fellow human beings, compassion for animals, be more giving, be helpful, finding your ultimate truth, etc. None of them were intolerant, irresolute, lethargic, irrational or unconvinced, about their outlook of the world, and their own life. They promoted love for all, and forgiveness for enemies.

I have to say Yes, there is.  Meditation – is the solution to all problems of your life.  What you are seeking now, in the 20th century, was discovered long ago by Lord Buddha and other religious practices in different forms.  Origin  of Meditation   Traces of Meditation are found in India. The Upanishad and Vedic text implied to meditation practices. Buddhism too devised a meditation known as “Vipassana”.
