Your parents can kill you!! The mistake India's youth should never-ever dare to commit.

By - Abhudai Pal  “Ek Tha Raja, Ek Thi Rani, Dono Mar Gaye Khatm Kahani,” Said Kizzie Basu in the movie “Dil Bechara”.   Kizzie Basu  I disagree with Kizzie. Because, In India, that's not how love stories end. The endings are , “Ek Tha Raja, Ek Thi Rani, Dono Ki Caste/Religion Different The, Parents Ne Mar Kar, Khatm Kar Di Kahani”.  NCRB and National Topper   The National Crime Record Bureau (NCRB) reported that in 2014, 2015, and 2016, the cases of honor killing were 28, 251, and 77 respectively. From 2014 to 2015, the honor killing risen by 796%.  What do you think, which state tops in this shameful category of killing his own child because he/she wants to marry/married a person of his/her choice? Uttar Pradesh topped here .     Parent Consent and Honor Killing  I do think that a parent consent should be taken before marrying. Either they will agree or disagree. But you should deliberately bring your parents on board while marrying your love and convince them. They might w

I am sorry Bapu that I don't want to wish you on your 151st Birth anniversary...

Dear Bapu,  Namaste.  Last year on your 150th birth anniversary, I wrote you a letter. I understand that you are busy, but a year had passed and your birthday has arrived. I want you to tell you that the circumstances have changed a lot since your last birthday.  Mr. Gandhi leader of the masses Today on your 151st Birth anniversary. I wanted to wish you but I won’t because you might be disheartened as well as surprised what some people have done to your society.    DALITS AND JUSTICE Bapu, whom you called Harijans or the “people of GOD”, their condition is dismal. The system is attacking and depriving them of their right to justice. Recently, In Hathras, a girl named Manisha Valmiki was allegedly raped, her tongue was cut and, neck bones were broken. She fought hard for 14 days but unfortunately, she died. She was not raped just once, but twice. First, the criminals belonging to the upper caste raped her. And second, the administration is still raping her in the following ways, a) Den

Religious or Spiritual? The fundamental difference between them

Image
By - Abhudai Pal Kabir, Mirabai, Gautam Buddha, Guru Nanak, Rumi, and many other mystics of the same ilk. Whenever their name surfaces my mind. I wonder whether they were religious or spiritual?  Meditating Buddha (Pic credit - Unsplash.com) Contemplating a lot, I arrived at the conclusion that calling them religious, isn’t justified. As their wisdom is for the entire mankind, irrespective of a person’s caste, creed, color, religion, race, mother tongue, and place of birth. The wisdom, they showered, is mentioned in various religious texts, in different forms.  What has changed with wisdom is word/medium/language, in which it is explained. What remains constant is the message of love towards fellow human beings, compassion for animals, be more giving, be helpful, finding your ultimate truth, etc. None of them were intolerant, irresolute, lethargic, irrational or unconvinced, about their outlook of the world, and their own life. They promoted love for all, and forgiveness for enemies.

EIA draft 2020: India's Roadmap to unclear skies and capitalist's license to exploit mother nature

Assam Oil and Gas Leakage The above-mentioned disasters are either man-made or act of God (nature) . It seems that nature has created a holocaust for India. Or these calamities are the naked and explicit consequences of humans' materialistic greed, which leads them to act on their brazen impulses of implementing projects which exploit mother nature .  The new Environmental Impact Assessment(EIA) Draft, 2020 enables projects to run without getting EC(Environmental Clearance)and with fewer checks and balances then prior. That implies exploiting mother nature for short term benefits, will be easier.  Thus, the existence of the above tragedies, like Oil and Gas Leakage, etc will be more often,  and borne potential to be an in

By - Abhudai Pal  Frustrated! Confused!! Anxious!!! Worried!! Depressed! If your life situation matches one or more than one word mentioned above. Then, Ladies/Gentleman, you aren’t alone in your battle against them.  Sometimes the intensity of frustration, confusion, and worry amplifies, thus affecting your productivity. The turbulence of emotions cripples your behavior and makes you numb. Everyone goes through tough times in his/her life irrespective of his socio-economic status.  If you were to ask me: Is there anything in this world which is the solution to all problems of life? I have to say Yes, there is.  Meditation – is the solution to all problems of your life.  What you are seeking now, in the 20th century, was discovered long ago by Lord Buddha and other religious practices in different forms.  Origin  of Meditation   Traces of Meditation are found in India. The Upanishad and Vedic text implied to meditation practices. Buddhism too devised a meditation known as “Vipassana”.

The journey from a Happy Relationship to Failed Relationship

By - Abhudai Pal   That hangout was like the other one’s, reminisces Navya.  On that hangout, Raj, her friend cum hangout guy surprised her.  He was in dilemma,  wasn’t initiating any conversation, and was pretty unusual that day. Recalls Navya All of sudden, the lights of the cafĂ© were dim and romantic songs played in the background.   That day, Raj wasn’t speaking anything. He was replying in three words.  Okay, Done and cool!   And this appalled me then.  As the waiter was bringing orders and every order carries a note.  I cherish his way of proposing, he didn’t say a word but with every note brought by the waiter conveyed his messages.  Last one I still remember, “I know its weird, but proposing via writing is comfortable for me as I could not muster the courage to say anything”.  The silent, honest, and child-like efforts he made that day, were so cute, I couldn’t say NO to his proposal and made him my boyfriend-cum-fiance then and husband later. I wish I might have friend-zoned

The forgotten Indian's. I am sorry for everthing you have to go through.

By - Abhudai Pal  Forgotten in a month from the limelight. Financially devastated. Legs are swollen. Not in a condition to walk but walked. Left to die on roads.  Starved.  Ill treated by the people who promised them of "Acche din". The situation described above is not of foreigners. They all are Indians when P.M. of India announced nationwide lockdown beginning from the midnight of  25th March 2020.  The worst-hit were makers of modern India. Unfortunately called, “ Migrant Workers”. I always think, how “non-inclusive” and “myopic” is the decision-maker who forgot the existence of about 139 million migrant workers in India. The problem is not with the decision-maker. The problem is that I am expecting an inclusive and rational decision from a person who is an unofficial Editor of every news organization (Both print and T.V). That is a hectic job and then finding time to make an inclusive and rational decision is another tremendous work. If you think that, migration crisis
